College efforts to improve maternal health

The Kidus Pawulos Mellenuim Medical College said that it is working on improving maternal health in the country.

Medical Service vice Provost Doctor, Birhane Redai told a press conference held in connection with Mothers Month being celebrated  during the whole month of January that the hospital has given child delivery service to for one thousand mothers on monthly basis.

The hospital also provides a follow up service and medical services to mothers, which according to him, contributes to the decline in maternal mortality through time.

According to him, the hospital is training specialist medical doctors, who will treat cancer that could affect the womb and breast.
