450 Ethiopians return from Saudi Arabia

About 450 Ethiopian nationals, who had been released from Jizan jails, Saudi Arabia, returned home today, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Saudi government agreed to release a total of 2,400 Ethiopians from jails for reasons of clemency this week.

About 450 of them returned home this afternoon. The remaining 450 of them will also arrive home on Friday, the Ministry said.

In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through its Consulate General in Jeddah is working to repatriate 1,500 Ethiopian nationals who had gone through risky migrant route to Saudi Arabia last week.
