Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has sent a message to all Christians on the eve of Easter wishing a happy holiday to all who have been fasting and praying for a couple of months.
The Premier underscored that this is one of the greatest moments in Christianity symbolizing both death and resurrection through the spirit of God.
“Resurrection may be delayed, but it is inevitable,” the statement said.
It is not possible to keep Ethiopia crucified and buried even though there are times when this may seem possible, the message noted. After all these repeated dark moments of its history, Ethiopia has succeeded to resurrect and win its enemies, it added.
The renaissance of Ethiopia begins when it starts to face challenges which try to shake its foundations for those who have eyes to see, the PM noted.
