Ethiopia, Malaysia vow to improve economic relations

The governments of Ethiopia and Malaysia will work to increase and diversify economic cooperation, according to the statement from the communication Office of the President.

State Minister for Commerce and Industry, Misganu Arga, and the Minister of Primary Industries of Malaysia, Teresa Kok, have held a meeting and exchanged views on fostering economic ties between the two countries.

We will make all efforts in keeping with our interest in boosting the trade balance between the two countries, Kok said, according to the statement released.

We rigorously and responsibly check products exported to Ethiopia to ensure they are of good quality and international standard, and that will be the line to follow in the exchange in several economic sectors, he added.

Arga stressed that the alliance will help both states to grow, also, will show other nations the potential of Ethiopia to develop investments and establish partnerships.
