Addis Ababa, June 24, 2021 (Walta) – The 6th General Election of Ethiopia is concluded in a quiet, peaceful, and credible manner, the Africa Union Election Observation Team announced.
The observer team in its first press briefing to the media stated that it has observed the voting process in Addis Ababa and other regions of the country since the pre-election preparations appropriately. Following this, the observer team announced the 6th general elections were conducted peacefully and orderly.
The leader of the observer team and the former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo said the election was conducted in a peaceful and credible way.
The team observed the election in accordance with the charter and principles of the union on democracy, elections, and governance, it was noted.
