Addis Ababa, January 31, 2023 (Walta)-A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Justice of Türkiye Republic made a working visit to Ethiopia.
The working visit by group of five Turkish Republic high officials led by the deputy Minister of Justice to Ethiopia aimed to held discussion on fostering bilateral legal and justice cooperation between the two countries.
The delegation met with Ethiopian Federal Democratic Republic Minister of Justice Gedeon Timotiwos and State Minister for Legal and Justice Sector, Alemante Agidew.
The two sides discussed on the extradition documents signed by the two countries on May 10, 2022 which enables to exchange person wanted for crime.
They also discussed on mutual legal cooperation in criminal matters which need approval and implementation by the legitimate authorities of each country.
In the consultation forum, the two sides discussed on a preliminary works to be done to implement the memorandum of understanding on capacity building and forensic investigation between the two countries signed in August 2022, as well as other law and justice-related agendas, according to Ministry of Justice.
