Adwa Victory Memorial Living African Pride, Independence – Chad’s PM

Addis Ababa, February 19, 2024(Addis Walta) During the 37th AU Ordinary Summit held in Addis Ababa, various leaders and ministers visited the newly inaugurated Adwa Victory Memorial.

Among the visiting dignitaries was the Prime Minister of Chad, Succès Masra, who expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed, and the people of the country for making the grand memorial a reality.

He said that the memorial is an asset for all Africans and urged them to further strengthen their unity to ensure their freedom in all aspects.

Masra also commended Ethiopia for the principle of humanity that its people demonstrated during the battle of Adwa, which is a great lesson to humanity.

He expressed his pride in seeing that Africa had always had a free mindset and battle and that it was time for all Africans to remember this and remain free, according to ENA.

The memorial is a symbol of African pride, independence, and glory, depicting historical figures like Emperor Menelik II, Empress Taytu Betul, and army generals who led Ethiopia to victory in the battle.

It is also a reminder of the spirit of pan-Africanism and the fight for freedom that was sparked after Adwa’s victory.
