Amb. Mulu Hold Talks With PISM Middle East, African Program Head

Addis Ababa, February 24, 2021 (Walta)– Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the Czech Republic, Mulu Solomon held talks with the Head of the Middle East and Africa program at the Polish Institute of International Affairs, Dr. Karol Wasilewski via video conference.

PISM is a government-funded leading Central European think tank. At the conference Jędrzej Czerep, an Analyst on Sub-Saharan Africa has participated. Discussions focused on the current situation in Ethiopia, the Grand Renaissance Dam, and the 6th national Election.

On the occasion, Ambassador Mulu briefed Dr. Wasilewski on the progress of restoring rule of law, peace, and rebuilding Tigray.

According to information obtained from the embassy, the Ambassador highlighted Ethiopia’s long-standing position of a win-win outcome on the negotiation of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.

Regarding the 6th national Elections, Ambassador Mulu Solomon noted that all stakeholders like the National Electoral Board, the Government, Civil Societies, and competing Parties have worked towards ensuring a fair and free election.

She called on Dr. Wasilewski to play his part in enhancing the cooperation between Ethiopia and Poland in bilateral and multilateral fore, work hand in hand on averting disinformation.

Dr. Wasilewski on his part expressed his wishes to enhance the relationship between the Embassy and PISM and also Ethiopia and Poland.
