Cooperative Effort Needed to Exploit India’s Investment Opportunities

Addis Ababa, March 6, 2024 (Addis Walta) Ethiopian ambassador to India, Demeke Atanafu, stated that cooperation with stakeholders is required to effectively exploit the untapped investment opportunities in India.

Ambassador Demeke and Industrial Park Development Corporation CEO, Aklilu Tadesse, held discussion on investment related areas.

Their discussion covers range of issues including encouraging Indian businesspersons to invest in industrial parks as well as cooperation in other related sectors.

IPDC CEO, on his part underscored that the corporative work resumes to attract foreign direct investments by applying various measures including implementing various investment-oriented reforms and resuming existing positive investment cooperation.

Ambassador Demeke, on his part said that the efficient response and service provided by the corporation to the investment related requests by the embassy is exemplary and motivate further collaboration between the two institutions.

Following the discussion, an agreement has been reached to jointly exchange current updated data and information and to co-host investment promotion expo focused on Agro Processing, Garment and Textile and Pharmaceutical sectors, according to IPDC.
