Addis Ababa, February 17, 2024(Addis Walta) Speaking at the 37th African Union Summit, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said that education is an important sector for sustainable development.
He said that our current education system is copied from the westerners and shows and perpetuates their power and destroys our culture and indigenous knowledge.
Currently, technology has created an opportunity to learn easily without the help of artificial intelligence, but financial investment has become the main challenge for education, he said.
Prime Minister Abiy noted that Ethiopia has been focusing on education in the past five years.
In terms of strengthening Ethiopia’s regional connectivity, we are building communication networks, railways, airlines and the like and are strengthening our relations with neighboring countries, the Premiere underscored.
