October 26, 2023(Addis Walta) – Ethiopia has never invaded another countries and has no intention of doing so, said Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the army, Abiy Ahmed (PH.D).
In his message delivered on the 116th National Army Day, the Prime Minister stated that the Defense Forces assist in building schools, health centers, and aid farmers wherever they go. He emphasized that the Defense Forces are a symbol of peace and development.
The Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the army, Abiy Ahmed, stated that the Ethiopian Defense Army is an institution rooted in history and has no lesser purpose than being Ethiopian.
Defense is the power of peace and its main purpose is to strengthen peace, the Primer noted.
A strong defense is the foundation of lasting peace. Its primary objective is to reinforce peace and ensure its endurance
He underscored that Defense forces will devote their lives to ensuring our peace is not lost, restoring lost peace, and strengthening current peace, even if it means shedding their blood.
Over the past few years, significant reforms have been implemented in the defense forces. There has been a particular focus on cultivating a national mindset, creating strong organizational structures, and equipping the forces with modern weaponry, according to the Prime minister.
