Ethiopia, Tanzania Inks MoU to Cooperate in Culture, Arts, Agriculture and Electricity Trade

Addis Ababa, March 1, 2024(Addis Walta) Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed was received by Tanzanian President Samia Suhulu today for official talks during his State visit to the East African nation.

The scope of their discussions covered a wide range of bilateral and regional issues with a commitment to multifaceted cooperation.

Three MOUs were signed on culture and arts, agriculture, and electricity trade as a key outcome of their engagement.

In a statement on his social media, Prime Minister Abiy noted that today’s bilateral meeting is a testament to the strong historical ties between Ethiopia and Tanzania. The MOUs signed today are foundational for ongoing and reciprocal development.

Additionally, the Prime Minister expressed his condolences on the passing of former President Ali Hassan Mwinyi and thanked President Samia Suluhu for the warm welcome he received from Tanzania during the nation’s time of mourning.
