Addis Ababa, February 15, 2024(Addis Walta) The Ethiopia- Türkiye Investment and Trade promotion forum commenced today at the Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa.
President of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Security Association, Melaku Azeze, gave an opening remark highlighting the longstanding relationship between the two countries.
Türkiye investors have advanced technology and practices that can be shared by Ethiopian counterparts, he said further stressing the importance of Ethiopian Airlines’ direct flight to Türkiye, which is a gateway to Europe.
Hanna Arayaselassie, Ethiopian Investment Commission Commissioner gave remarks highlighting the multifaceted opportunities Ethiopia offers to investors with its large and growing domestic market, fastest-growing economy, and strategic location as a gateway to Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
She reaffirmed Ethiopian Investment Commission is committed to providing end-to-end services easing the way of doing business for investors.
Twenty-three Turkish investors that participated in the forum flew in from Sakarya City, which is the 7th largest investment-focused city in Türkiye as stated by Turkish Ambassador to Ethiopia Berk Banan.
