Ethiopia Urges IDA to Bolster its Commitment to Africa’s Development Journey

Addis Ababa, April 29, 2024 (Addis Walta) In his remarks at the International Development Association (IDA) 21 Replenishment Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD), noted that: “Ethiopia’s resilience amidst challenges is evident through structural economic reforms, prioritizing macro stability and productivity.”

Spearheaded by the National Dialogue Commission, the Prime Minister underscored that dialogue and reconciliation are central to our peace aspirations.

“With a focus on accessible education and youth empowerment, Ethiopia aims to create over 2 million new jobs, while prioritizing universal energy access, digital transformation, and environmental stewardship through initiatives like the Green Legacy Initiative.”

“Ethiopia urges IDA to bolster its commitment to Africa’s development journey,” the Prime Minister underscored.
