Addis Ababa, February 22, 2023 (Walta) – Ethiopia effectively used the 36th AU Summit to bolster its bilateral and multilateral relations, Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Spokesperson for the Ministry Ambassador Meles Alem on a press briefing to journalist, said that Ethiopia successfully hosted the 36th AU Summit took place between February 18-19, 2023.
Ethiopia used the AU Summit to secure its national interest and brand its global image, the ambassador added.
The country also showed its commitment on solving the conflict in its northern part.
By doing so, Ethiopia impressed Africans by its peaceful settlement of the conflict in northern Ethiopia and set a good example for other African countries.
AU Summit was attended by heads of international organizations, diplomats, foreign ministers and delegations from outside the continent.
