Ethiopian Students Rank Third in Huawei ICT Competition in Tunisia

Addis Ababa, March 15, 2024(Addis Walta) The Ethiopian team won third place in the regional final of the Huawei ICT competition in Tunisia
 
An Ethiopian team with three students in a computing truck won third place, following Morocco and Tunisia at the Huawei ICT competition global final held from March 5 to 8, 2024, in Tunisia.
 
Huawei Public Relations Director Liming Ye said that Huawei will continue providing students with a platform to compete healthily, exchange ideas, enhance their ICT knowledge and practical skills, and increase their ability to innovate by using new technologies and platforms.
 
90 students from nine countries participated in the competition, namely Ethiopia, Mali, Cameroon, Senegal, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, and Morocco.
 
It is learned that all winning students will have the opportunity to participate in the final phase, which will take place in China in 2024 and involve over 20,000 students from 500 universities.
