Ethiopians Marking 128th Anniversary of Victory of Adwa

Addis Ababa, March 2, 2024(Addis Walta) The victory of Adwa is being celebrated across Ethiopia with various events as it marks its 128th anniversary.

The capital city, Addis Ababa, is particularly celebrating this occasion with a military parade, artistic events, and other programs at the newly built Adwa Victory Memorial.

This battle resulted in a decisive victory for Ethiopia and is considered a historic event that symbolizes African resistance against European colonialism.

The Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) is mainly coordinating this year’s necessary preparations for the Adwa victory commemoration, which is a great national movement.

This anniversary is also being celebrated in all regional states, city administrations, institutions, embassies, and consulates worldwide.
