Addis Ababa, March 29, 2022 (Walta) – The Government of France has announced a 3 million Euro donation to WFP in Ethiopia in response to the impacts of drought in the southern and eastern parts of the country.
The project will provide cash-based food transfers to vulnerable people to prevent all forms of malnutrition in drought-affected woredas in the Somali region, According to the French Embassy in Addis Ababa.
France and Ethiopia have been celebrating their 125th Anniversary with various events including a joint business forum held yesterday in Addis Ababa.
In addition to the humanitarian support, France is working jointly with Ethiopia in the restoration of the Lalibela world heritage site.
