Green Legacy Shows Ethiopia Can Finish what it Starts – PM Abiy

Addis Ababa, June 21, 2022(Walta) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Ph.D.) said the green legacy program shows that Ethiopia can complete what it has started.

The Prime Minister has officially launched the fourth green legacy program.

This year marks the fourth time the Green legacy program will be implemented under the theme “Our Imprint for Our Children”.

According to the Minister of Agriculture, Omar Hussein, more than 7.6 billion seedlings have been prepared for this year.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Demeke Mekonnen, former Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, former President, African Union Commissioner Mustafa Mohamed, and members of the government and diplomatic community.

In the past three green legacy sessions, close to 18 billion seedlings have been planted.
