Addis Ababa, March 22, 2023 (Walta) – Ethiopian Federal Democratic Republic House of People’s Representatives has decided to delist Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) from the terrorist organization list.
The House made the decision by majority vote after discussing the motion to delist TPLF from the terrorist list in a special meeting today.
Following the signed peace agreement between the Ethiopian government and TPLF, various activities have been carried out by both sides.
As part of the peace deal, the federal government delivered humanitarian aid and restored various services in Tigray Region while TPLF handed over heavy weapons to the federal government and gathered its combatants in camps.
