Memorial Foundation of the late President of Amhara Regional State Dr. Ambachew Mekonnen, established in the presence of high government officials and his colleagues.
Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa and member of the board of the foundation, Adanech Abiebie, in her remarks on the launching ceremony, said Dr. Ambachew served his country loyally and honestly at several positions.
She said that the foundation will have a significance to transcend his visions in various aspects.
Deputy Mayor Adanech added that the foundation will be instrumental to address social and economic challenges through research and study works.
In addition to its work in education, health, and green development, the foundation aims to create a community that supports the development of the country with truth and honesty.
High-ranking government officials, scholars, board members, colleagues, and families of Dr. Ambachew Mekonnen were in attendance at the foundation.
