MFA Ethiopia Launches Book Highlights 115 Years of Modern Diplomacy

Addis Ababa, January 12, 2024 (Addis Walta) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia launched a book highlighting major Ethiopian diplomatic journey between 1907 and 2023 at Science Museum.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Ethiopia, Demeke Mekonnen, speaking at the ceremony, underscored the importance of documenting Ethiopia’s endeavor to protect its national interests and the role of its diplomats since the turn of the century.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Meles Alem, presented a copy of the book to the seasoned Ethiopian Diplomat, Ambassador Konjit Sinegiorgis at the event.

According to MFA of Ethiopia, the book, which is written in Amharic, provides a bird’s-eye view on an array of issues, demonstrating the ups and downs in Ethiopian diplomacy since the establishment of the Foreign Ministry in 1907.
