Addis Ababa, October 3, 2021 (Walta) – Ministry of Education has donated 15 million birr support to Benishangul-Gumuz Education Bureau in an effort to rebuild schools affected by conflict in the region.
According to ENA, Education Minister Engineer Getahun Mekuria (Ph.D.) stated that the money was deducted from various projects being conducted by the ministry.
President of Benishangul-Gumuz State, Ashadli Hassen, noted that TPLF has destroyed a number of schools in the region since 2020.
It is to be recalled that conflict in Benishangul-Gumuz has caused damages to 194 schools.
