Peace Minister Muferihat Kamil briefed Emanuela Del Re on the now-concluded law enforcement operation in the northern part of Ethiopia and collaboration on humanitarian aid on a telephone call.
She further stated that the law enforcement operation was successfully accomplished with the utmost care to protect civilians and infrastructure.
The Deputy Foreign Minister in her part appreciated the care taken to protect civilians during the law enforcement process and affirmed that Italy will continue to support the efforts of the Ethiopian Government in tackling humanitarian needs especially with the supply of medical supplies through the Italian Red Cross Society.
She further reaffirmed that the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries will further be strengthened.
Minister Muferihat Kamil expressed her utmost gratefulness to the Government of Italy for their support.
