Addis Ababa, February 8, 2023 (Walta) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and French President Emmanuel Macron held discussion in Paris. Prime Minister Abiy arrived in France yesterday. The two leaders spoke on strengthening the relations between Ethiopia and France.
Prime Minister Abiy on his Facebook stated that he is hopeful to advance the relations between the two countries which will lead to stronger economic outcomes.
He said, “As the relations between our two countries’ progress, I’m very confident that it will translate into strengthened economic outcomes. We very much welcome investments by French companies in Ethiopia.”
Before his trip to France, Prime Minister Abiy visited Italy and Malta.
Prime Minister Abiy last visited France in October 2018 while President Emmanuel Macron was in Ethiopia in March 2019.
