Premier Names Seleshi Bekele as Chief GERD Negotiator

Addis Ababa, October 07, 2021(Walta) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has named former Water and Irrigation Minister Seleshi Bekele (PhD), as with a rank of Ministerial level of Chief Negotiator and Advisor on Trans Boundary Rivers and Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

The Prime Minister has also appointed others including former House of Federation Speaker, Adem Farah to various governmental positions with rank of ministerial level.

Abiy also includes the appointment of Teferi Fikre as Head of the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Cabinet Affairs.

Former Speaker Adem Farah is appointed as Chief Coordinator of the Center for Coordination of Democracy Building with a rank of ministerial level.

Furthermore Tesfaye Belgige is appointed as Government Representative in the House of People’s Representatives.

According to Prime Minister Office Dr. Legesse Tulu has been appointed as Head of Government Communication Service, Dr. Mihiret Debebe as President of the African Leadership Excellence Academy.

Fisseha Yitagesu also named as CEO of Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation; and Abdurahman Rube as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation.
