Addis Ababa, April 13, 2024 (Addis Walta) President Sahle-Work Zewde met with members of the Ethiopian Diaspora Community in Switzerland.
The meeting between the President and the Diaspora Community was held on the sidelines of the 3rd International Cooperation Forum (IC Forum) which has been taking place in Basel, Switzerland since yesterday.
President Sahle-Work asked the Diaspora to strengthen their link with the homeland and enhance their participation in the overall activities in the country.
President Sahle-Work stressed the need to nurture the culture of dialogue, calling all to contribute their part in the efforts to maintain peace.
Participants, for their part, urged the government to reinforce and emphasize the ongoing efforts to ensure lasting peace in the country.
The President of the Federal Democratic of Ethiopia Sahle-Work Zewde, alongside the President of the Swiss Confederation Viola Amherd, opened the third International Cooperation Forum (IC Forum) on Thursday, 11 April, in Basel, Switzerland.
