Addis Ababa, April 28, 2022(Walta) – President Sahlework Zewde arrives in Nairobi earlier today to attend the State funeral service of the former President of the Republic of Kenya, Emilio Stanley Mwai Kibaki.
Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, she was warmly welcomed by the Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture, and Heritage of Kenya, Ambassador Amina Mohammed, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Kenya, Meles Alem, other high ranking Kenyan officials, and the staff of the Embassy.
The State funeral service of the former President will be held on Friday, 29th April at Nyayo National Stadium from 10:00 Hrs. in Nairobi, Kenya.
His burial will undertake at his Othaya home on Saturday, 30th April 2022.
Other Heads of State and high-ranking dignitaries will also be gracing the State funeral service of the late Mzee Mwai Kibaki.
