Addis Ababa, March 01, 2023 (Walta) – In 2022, over 66 million children in Africa benefited from school feeding program.
Speaking at the 8th African School Feeding Day, Addis Ababa city administration Mayor, Adanech Abebie said that the city administration is carrying out a school feeding program benefiting over 700,000 students with annual cost of 4.6 million birr.
In Africa, school feeding program feeds over 66 million students and creates jobs for more than 300,000 women across the continent.
FDRE Minister of Education professor Birhanu Nega, Addis Ababa city administration Mayor Adanech Abebie, ministers from various African countries, representatives of AU and WFP and ambassadors attended the event.
