Addis Ababa, August 23, 2023 (Addis Walta) The Ethiopian Disaster Risk Management Commission Commissioner (EDRMC) Ambassador Shiferaw Teklemariam (Ph.D.) conferred with the newly appointed UN Assistant Secretary General, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Ramiz Alakbarov (Ph.D) on issues of humanitarian aid in Ethiopia.
The commissioner briefed the new UN appointee about the gaps in the provision of humanitarian aid in Ethiopia and collaborative efforts between the Ethiopian government and the UN agencies to close the gaps, according to EDMRC.
The UN humanitarian coordinator on his part assured that he is committed to improving the collaborative efforts to fill the gaps in humanitarian aid during his mission in Ethiopia.
