WHO Halts Ethiopia’s Representative Speech on Tedros Adhanom’s MisconductAddis Ababa, January 25, 2022 (Walta) – The WHO board has halted Ethiopia’s representative speech on Tedros Adhanom’s misconduct.

Ethiopian Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva noted that Director-General of WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is compromising the WHO’s credibility, independence and spreading misinformation about the war in the country’s north.

In addition, Tedros is accused of using his office to advance his personal political interest at the expense of the interests of Ethiopia.

According to Reuters, The chair of a World Health Organization body cut off Ethiopia’s envoy on Monday as he tried to deliver a speech criticizing Tedros Adhanom and postponed a decision on a request from Addis Ababa to investigate his actions.
