Unions to sale goods with fair price

The Trade Practice and Consumers’ Protection Authority said that different goods with fair price are offered to consumers via Consumers' Unions for Easter holiday.

In his exclusive interview with Walta Media and Communications Corporate, Market Information Directorate with the Authority, Etissa Deme, said that different items are on sale with fair price in over 500 shops of the unions.

He noted that this market opportunity enables to avoid unnecessary price increment during holidays.  

Onion for birr 12, wheat flour for birr 9-12, egg for birr 3, chicken for less than 200 birr, sugar 18.40 birr per a kilo and  three liters of oil for birr 77.40 cents are on sale in over 500 shops, he noted.

According to Etissa, cooperative works with micro and small enterprises a kilo of beef meat will be sold for birr 80 to 120.

The Authority is supervising and controlling distribution of items so that they are appropriately delivered to consumers.

Etissa called up on the public to buy the goods confidently as they are available with enough amounts, Walta learnt.
