The Office of Government Communication Affairs Office (GCAO), in its weekly statement, disclosed that the public at large should play a role in fostering the culture of helping each other via utilizing religion as an engine of cooperation.
Ethiopia as land of origins, as a hub of multi-religious and cultures has contributed a lot to the world in terms of inducing mutual coexistence, the statement noted.
Commemoration of Jesus’s crucifixion and celebration of Easter are among the highly honored religious festivities in the country and they are also occasions that glorify our culture of helping each other and especially those in need, the statement underscored.
The government expressed its best wishes for all Christians on the occasion of these celebrations.
The government has finalized all preparations to enable the public celebrate the holiday in peace and tranquility, the statement said.
