Addis traders’ daily income estimation 53% complete

The Addis Ababa Revenue and Customs Authority said that 53 percent of Addis Ababa traders’ daily income estimation has completed.  

Support and supervision Directorate Director with the Authority, Atkilit Gebregziabhere, during a press release held yesterday said that it was targeted to make estimate daily income of 143,550 traders and 53 percent of it became achievable.

He noted that the remaining estimation will be accomplished until the end of this month.

According to Atkilt, the estimation is set to identify businesses shifts, control illegal traders with no trade license and because of amendments on the tax proclamation at national level.

The Authority has intensively followed up traders two days before the actual estimation is started to control those who hide sales likewise in 2011.

It was noted that when the estimation is finalized the authority has planned to declare to level C tax payers within 15 days.

The research was scheduled to take place every three years; though it could have not been going on as it was targeted, Walta learnt.
