Addis Ababa, December 8 (WIC) – The Addis Ababa Roads Authority signed an agreement with the China Communications Construction Company here on Wednesday to upgrade the road from Meskel Square to Bole Ring Road Square in Addis Ababa City with 60 million USD.
Authority’s Director-General, Eng. Fekade Haile and Company’s Ethiopian Office Manager, Zhou Yong Sheng signed the agreement.
Eng. Fekade on the occasion said the two parties reached agreement to finalize the main work on upgrading of the road until May 2013.
He said the road will be upgraded with the fund secured in loan from Export-Import Bank of China.
Zhou Yong Sheng on the occasion said the Company has been engaged in road construction over the last 13 years in Ethiopia.
The manager said the company will exert efforts to complete upgrading of the road due schedule. The road will have 4.3-km length and 40 meters of width.
