Hailemariam meets presidents of Sudan, South Sudan

Addis Ababa, January 5 (WIC) – Presidents of Sudan and South Sudan Omar al- Bashir and Salva Kiir, respectively held separate talks on Friday with Prime Minster Hailemariam Desalegn and Chairperson of African Union High-level Implementation Panel, Tabo Mbeki.

In a talk that was held at the National Palace, President al-Bashir met Prime Minster Hailemariam and Mbeki first and then President Kiir followed to have talks with the pair.

PM Hailemariam recently visited Sudan and South Sudan in a bid to bring them to a round table to resolve their differences through negotiation, which the two presidents agreed up on.

According to ERTA, the current negotiation aims at finding ways for the implementation of the cooperation agreements signed by the two presidents last September in Addis Ababa.
