Exhibition opens as part of the 10th nations, nationalities and peoples Day celebration

Addis Ababa, 8 December 2015 (WIC) – The Gambella Regional State has officially opened a development exhibition, as part of the 10th Nations, Nationalities and People’s Day celebration.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister with Government Communication Affairs Office, Getachew Reda, said that the 10th Nations, Nationalities and People’s Day shall play a pivotal role in renewing promises of the people to exert more effort in the realization of Ethiopian renaissance.

Getachew noted that the government is intensively working to enhance mutual benefits and growth amongst the regions through health, education, and other infrastructures.  
President of Gambella Regional State, Gatluak Tut, on his part said that the Ethiopian constitution is playing a pivotal role to ensure the rights of nations, nationalities and people’s and strengthen development and democratic system. The Gambella region is enjoying results of various development projects underway starting from the last couple decades, he added.

Gatluak further said that hosting the 10th Nations, Nationalities and People’s has promoted the region and has contributed to strengthen developmental works as an important opportunity to the region and the country as a whole.

Photographs showcasing achievements recorded during the past 24 years including developmental schemes of the Defense Force Corporation are displayed in the exhibition.
The exhibition is open for visitors until 13 December, 2015, Walta learnt.
