Orthodox Christians celebrate Ketera

Addis Ababa, 19 January 2016 (WIC) – The followers of Ethiopian Orthodox Christians have celebrated Ketera, the Ethiopian Epiphany today.

Ketera is celebrated once every year at the eve of the Ethiopian Epiphany to commemorate the Baptism of Christ in the River Jordan by John the Baptist.

All Tabots symbolizing the Ark of the Covenant carried out to their respective sites where the Epiphany will celebrate tomorrow.
