First lady lays foundation for orphanage center project in Addis

The First Lady of Ethiopia, Zinash Tayachew, has laid a cornerstone for the construction of an orphanage center in the capital Addis Ababa at a place called Kuskuam.

The First Lady on the occasion underscored the need to invest on the younger generation to build a better tomorrow.

The center, to be built with 20 million birr, will replace the Zewditu Meshesha Children and Family Charity’s Development Association which was destroyed by a fire accident last December.

The cost of the project will be covered by office of the First Lady, it was noted.

The center will have classrooms, library, dining hall, training centers and playing ground.

The project is expected to take 6 months for completion.
