Oromia residents rally to express gratitude on PM Abiy’s Nobel Peace Prize

Residents in different towns of Oromia Regional State have today turned to the streets to express their gratitude on Prime Minister Abiy Amhed’s Nobel Peace Prize winning.

Tens of thousands of residents of the town of Negelle have participated in the demonstration, coordinator of the demonstration Bacha jimma, told Ethiopian News Agency.

The demonstrators have held banners stating, we shall contribute our share for the rule of law, we oppose anti-peace elements acting in the name of the oromo people, and the nobel peace prize to the Prime Minister is an indication of sustained peace and unity in our country.

Similarly residents of Bunobedele and Illubabur also have shown their gratitude for the Prime Minister’s Nobel Peace Prize.

Many residents in other towns also showed their support for the Prime Ministers effort to induce sustainable peace, unity and development in the country.

Women, youth, ealdely and civil cervants have taken part in the demonstrations.
