The Addis Ababa University has announced that it has conferred professorship on four lecturers after the University senate thoroughly looked into their contribution.
Accordingly, the university conferred the title to Dr. Getnet Ayele, Dr. Kassahun Berhanu, Dr.kaleab Asres and Dr.Miliard Derbew.
Professor Getnet Ayele has taught the relation between sociology and health and has many researches published on known international magazines. The professor is also has written three books in collaboration with his colleagues. He has also produced more than 45 researches which got published in international magazines.
Professor Kassahun has served the university for the past 30 years. He was a research advisor, lecturer, vice dean of social science and also served as head of Addis Ababa University Foreign Affairs and has been involved in many committees as member. He has conducted much research in political science and international relations, which are presented in many conferences and forums at home and abroad.
The Professor, who has as many as 40 researches published on international magazines, has also made researches on agricultural policies, job creation, political science and governance; and election politics and government and social relationship, among others.
Professor Kaleab Asres has conducted thorough research on medicinal plants for over 30 years and has many findings published on known international magazines, and which have helped to push the knowledge in the sector to a higher level.
So far, he has published over 150 researches in international magazine.
The professor has taught at undergraduate and post graduate level and is acclaimed as best Ethiopian scientist as he has recruited the likes of him.
Professor Miliard Derbew has modernized child surgery and wrote over 40 researches in international magazines.
Professor Miliard has brokered a project worth 15 mln USD and served as a lead researcher in the project.
The professor also served as member and leader of many international organizations.(FBC)
