كأس الأمم الافريقية: الجزائر تتوج بلقب البطولة بعد فوزها على السنغال 1-0

Algeria won the African Nations Cup after defeating Senegal in the final of the 2019 Cairo International Stadium .

The Algerian team settled the victory with one goal scored by Baghdad player Bou Bou Najah in the second minute of the game, the Senegalese could not equalize throughout the game .

This goal was one of the fastest goals in the history of the African Championship, joining the Algerian striker Bounjah to the players who scored the fastest goals in the African Nations Cup final, such as the Egyptian player Mohamed Diab Attar against Ethiopia in the 1957 final Nigerian Patrick Odigbami against Algeria in the final of the 1980 version .

After this victory, the Algerian team regained the title of African Nations Cup champion after 29 years .

Senegal struggled to equalize after Algeria’s early goal, but failed to break through Algeria’s tight defenses .

The ball was taken over the first half by Senegal, with 62 percent for Senegal and 38 percent for Algeria .

The referee canceled a preliminary decision to count a penalty after making sure that a handball from a player in the Algerian team in the 61st minute was not deliberate, after the use of video arbitration technique  (VAR).

In the last ten minutes of the first half, Senegal’s squad was in complete control and missed a number of chances, most notably direct shots on the Algerian goal .

Mbai Niang missed a powerful opportunity to score in the 37th minute .

Algeria goalkeeper Rais M’Bolhi scored a brilliant Senegalese shot from close range in the 68th minute .

The game was suspended for a few minutes after a brutal intervention between Senegal striker Sadio Manet and Liverpool’s English player, and Algerian defender Djamel Ben Amri, injured the Algerian player .

The Algerian team reached the African Cup final twice in 1980 and 1990; however, they lost the first time to their Nigerian counterpart 3-0, while defeating the same team in the second time for 1-0, winning the only title in its history .

It was the only time that Algeria was crowned African football champion when Algeria hosted the African Nations Cup in 1990 .

وكانت مشاركة اللاعب رياض محرز، نجم منتخب الجزائر ومانشستر سيتي الإنجليزي، مميزة في هذه البطولة، إذ تمكن فريقه من التأهل للمباراة النهائية عن طريق هدف احرزه محرز في دور نصف النهائي في مرمى نيجيريا. وكان الهدف في وقت قاتل (الدقيقة الخامسة من الوقت بدل الضائع).

.وسادت بعد إعلان الفوز أجواء احتفالية في عدد من المدن الكبرى في الجزائر وفي فرنسا، لاسيما العاصمة باريس ومدينة مارسيليا.

وخرج مشجعو المنتخب الجزائري في شوارع باريس للاحتفال بهذا الفوز مستخدمين الصافرات وأبواق السيارات، وتكرر المشهد في تجمعات تحتفي بفوز الجزائر باللقب في مدن ليون، ومارسيليا، وليل، وستراسبورغ.

Algeria coach Djamel Belmadi had urged fans in Algeria before winning the title to maintain order if the team failed to win the African Nations Cup or beat Senegal in the final .

Riots and clashes erupted between some Algerian football fans and French police on the Champs-Elysées in Paris, and in Marseille and Lyon transformed the celebration atmosphere of Algeria’s qualification for the African Cup of Nations after beating Nigeria 2-1 to a campaign of arrests of about 300 fans of the Algerian team
