Covid-19 Adversely Affecting African Economy – Moussa Faki Mahamat

Addis Ababa, February 5, 2022 (Walta) – Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat said Covid 19 has a negative impact on the economic growth of the continent by 10 percent.

The commissioner noted this at the opening of the 35th African Union Summit being held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Moussa Faki also mentioned that silencing guns, corruption has become challenging in some African countries.

The commissioner called up for possible inventions to become more progressive and implemented.

The summit is being marked under the theme “Strengthening resilience in nutrition and food security on the African continent: strengthening agro-food system, health and social protection systems of the acceleration of human social and economic capital development.”
