Addis Ababa, October 14, 2021 (Walta) – A delegation led by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed today visited kidney bean cluster farming activities in West Arsi Zone, Shala Woreda, Oromia Regional State.
The visit was accompanied by Chief Administrators of regional States and other high level federal and regional states officials.
During the visit Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said that since the production of kidney bean has extensive problem solving and high economic benefits efforts should be strengthened for better productivity.
The Premier also called up on heads of regional states to immensely draw lessons and implement them into their respective regions.
It was noted that over 24,000 hectares of land is cultivated with kidney bean cluster; similarly, over 8,000 hectares of land is cultivated in Shala, Shashemene Zone.
