Ethio-Indo Relation Transcends the Taste of Time – Indian Minister of External Affairs

– Ethiopian and Indian multidimensional relation transcends the taste of time said the Indian Minister of External Affairs, Subramanian Jaishankar.

Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said so while inaugurating Indian Embassy Chancery Building and Residential Complex in the presence Ethiopian Minister of Women and Social Affairs, Ergoge Tesfaye (Ph.D.), Ethiopian State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tesfaye Yilma, diplomats, Indian community in Addis Ababa and other dignitaries, today.


The Minister explained the multidimensional relationship between Ethiopia and India in the area of trade, investment, culture, education and other areas of cooperation.

He underlined India’s desire to strengthen the multifaceted relation with Ethiopia based on mutual interest and cooperation.

Subrahmanyam Jaishankar also highlighted India’s focused strives to strengthen its relation with African Union.

Ethiopian Minister of Women and Social Affairs, Ergoge Tesfaye (Ph.D.), said that the inauguration of the chancery and residence complex is a proof to the strengthening relation between the two sisterly countries.

She said that more than 637 Indian companies are currently operating in Ethiopia while the trade volume between the two countries increasing by the day.
