Ethio-Japan Business, Investment Seminar Kicks off in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, December 8, 2023 (Addis Walta) Ethio-Japan Business and Investment Forum to promote trade and investment opportunities in Ethiopia was held today in Addis Ababa.

In his opening remarks the Director General of Middle East, Asian and Pacific Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Gebeyehu Ganga, pointed out that Ethiopia is one of the fastest-growing African economies with huge potential in diverse sectors.

Ethiopia is committed to fostering bilateral relations with Japan, Ambassador Gebeyehu added.

Furthermore, he noted that the convergence of Ethiopia’s vast potential and Japan’s technological advantage gives leverage to strengthen economic relations between the two countries.

Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Japan, Daba Debele, on his part underscored that the seminar would bolster ties Ethio-Japan relations in various fields, as well as provide an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Ethiopia’s potential in agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, mining, and ICT, among others, according to MFA of Ethiopia.
