Addis Ababa, December 15, 2022 (Walta) – Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the United Nations, Taye Atske Selassie reiterated Ethiopia’s call for the UN organs to allow equal representation of African states.
Ambassador Taye in his remarks at the open debate of the UNSC under India’s presidency, urged UN organs to facilitate working arrangements free from the vestiges of colonialism and its ancillary practices.
He also shared Ethiopia’s vision for a reformed multilateralism and commitment to timeless principles of the UN Charter on sovereignty, peaceful resolution of disputes and non-use of force.
The Ambassador further commended India for a successful term and outstanding contribution in the UNSC.
