Ethiopian Defense Forces is not an Obstacle to Entry of Humanitarian Aid into Tigray – Ann Fitz-Gerald

Addis Ababa, March 24, 2022 (Walta) -Horn of Africa Security and Justice Adviser, Professor Ann Fitz- Gerald said the Ethiopian Defense Forces is not an obstacle to the entry of humanitarian aid into Tigray.

She made the remarks in response to allegations made by WHO Director Tedros Adhanom, a member of the terrorist group and director of the World Health Organization, on his Twitter account.

The director made the usual baseless allegations that Ethiopian and Eritrean troops had blocked access to Tigray.

Following the allegations, the adviser stated that there was no evidence that the Ethiopian Defense Forces was in the Afar region where the humanitarian aid was being provided.

On the contrary, TPLF militants are based in five areas of the Afar region.

If this is the case, why is the road from Afar to Tigray closed? The advisor asks.

Therefore, in a statement on her Twitter account, the advisor added that it takes a lot of effort and research to understand the situation there, and also Tedros’ allegation was unfounded.
