Addis Ababa, November 19, 2021(Walta) – Kenya said that Ethiopia itself is capable of solving its internal problems with fortitude and wisdom as its people and leadership are moving in unison aspiring to a prosperous nation.
In a joint press conference with the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Antony Blinken, Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, Raychelle Omamo said Kenya believes that our friend and neighbor Ethiopia has great potential itself to solve the internal crisis happened in the northern part.
“We must believe in fortitude and wisdom of Ethiopian people because, in the end, the solution will come from them,” she said.
Kenya believes that a ceasefire is possible, and conditions regarding humanitarian access have to be well organized, she added.
Kenya must do, as a neighbor and sisterly country of Ethiopia, whatever the latter requests. The war will end soon and Ethiopia continues making history, she noted.
She further said, “Ethiopia is a strong nation, strong partner and a country that is able once again to guarantee peace in our region. Let us not give up hope in the people of Ethiopia, we must be optimistic and support the country to end crisis soon.”
Similarly, Ethio-American Development Council tweeted regarding this that Kenya rejected the U.S. intervention in real-time; insists solution must come from within, according to EPA.
Antony Blinken “must recognize what’s painfully obvious: the lack of credibility from supporting TPLF has rendered the U.S. powerless to exercise any influence in Africa. No More” it added.
It is to be recalled that President Uhuru Kenyatta came to Ethiopia last Sunday to discuss the current Ethiopian war and regional issues with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Ph.D.).
