Addis Ababa, March 11, 2023 (Walta) On the occasion of celebration of the 125th anniversary of Ethio-France diplomatic relations, French Ambassador to Ethiopia, Rémi Maréchaux, stated that France endeavors to strengthen its economic, political, and social relations with Ethiopia.
The ambassador also noted that France is interested in extensively participating in the field of agriculture, energy supply, and logistics sectors in Ethiopia.
Indicating the importance of having regular bilateral visits, the ambassador pointed out the recent visits by the French delegation in January 2023 to Ethiopia and PMi Abiy’s visits to France, meeting with President Emmanuel Macron are indicators of the longstanding strong relationship between the two countries.
According to ENA, Ambassador Rémi Maréchaux stated that the recently reached peace agreement between the Ethiopian government and TPLF is very promising and France will keep supporting the effort of implementation of the peace process.
